Preisleiten is a desert in the municipality of Modrava , Czech Republic . It is located just under two kilometers north of Modrava.

The scattered settlement Preisleiten stretched to the right of the Vydra at the Rechelbrücke in a forest clearing along a small stream on the slopes of the Kainzenberg and Philippshüttenberg. To the northeast rise the Sokol ( Antigelberg , 1253 m), to the east the Jelení vrch ( Kainzenberg , 1176 m), south of the Philippshüttenberg (1106 m) and to the west the Adamova hora ( Adamsberg , 1077 m).

Neighboring towns were Schätzův Les, Antýgl, Výhledy and Bernstein in the north, Kainzen, Horská Kvilda and Horní Antýgl in the northeast, Antiglhütte and Vydří Most in the east, Korýtko and Filipova Huť in the southeast, Modrava in the south, Vchynice-Tetov II in the southwest, and Rybárna Burned in the west and Vchynice-Tetov I in the northwest.

history

After Joseph II von Schwarzenberg had acquired the rule of Stubenbach in 1799 , he had the Chinitz-Tettau flood canal built in order to be able to exploit the wood wealth of the Bohemian Forest by means of rafting inland. Around 1800 the lumberjack settlement of Preisleiten was built on the slope above the Rechel Bridge.

In 1838 Preisleiten consisted of six scattered houses. The parish was Aussergefield . Until the middle of the 19th century, Moder remained subservient to Stubenbach.

After the abolition of patrimonial , from 1850 , Preisleiten formed a district of the community of Stubenbach or Stadlern II. Share in the judicial district of Hartmanitz. From 1868, Preisleiten belonged to the Schüttenhofen district . In 1910, 73 people lived in the eight houses of the settlement. Preisleiten continued to grow gradually; In addition, the Ebenmühle was built above the Rechelbrücke on the Vydra and two remote houses in the forest on the western slope of the Philippshüttenberg. In 1924 Philippshütten , Preisleiten, Pürstling , Mader and Rachelhütte broke away from Stubenbach and formed their own community, which was initially called Preisleiten. In 1934 the community name was changed to Filipova Huť / Philippshütten . In 1929 Preisleiten had grown to 34 houses in which 258 Germans and one Czech lived. After the Munich Agreement , Preisleiten was added to the German Reich. From 1939 to 1945 the village belonged to the Bavarian district of Bergreichenstein . After the Second World War , the village was largely evacuated in the course of the expulsion of the Germans from Czechoslovakia and then abandoned.

Today only remains of the foundation walls of Preisleiten can be found in the forest.
