The Route 2 in the Canadian Atlantic province of Prince Edward Iceland runs in west-east direction through almost the entire island. The route has a length of 218 km.

Route

The route branches off from Route 12 at Tignish . On the first section of the route, the highway runs in a southerly direction, several times crossing Route 12, which opens up the northwestern part of the island. At Wellington the highway swings east. The route runs north past Summerside and thus crosses the narrowest part of the island in a north-south direction. The route runs through Kensington and from there to Charlottetown . There the route meets the Trans-Canada Highway , which runs as Route 1 through the province. A distance of approx. 3 km leads east at Routes until Route 2 branches off to the northeast. The route then runs along the direction of the Hillsborough River . At St. Peters the route swings eastwards again and passes Souris . The route ends there and continues as Route 16 .
