Prince Ital Joe
Prince Ital Joe (actually Joe Paquette , * 5. May 1963 on Dominica ; † 16th May 2001 in Phoenix , Arizona ) was an American reggae - musician of Dominican origin.
biography
At the age of 14, he emigrated with his parents and moved with them to Brooklyn , New York . After graduating from high school, he pursued a career as an actor and entertainer . In California , he performed for years at private parties and clubs in Hollywood . He was also a concert promoter from 1988 to 1990, a. a. for Ziggy Marley .
In 1993 he recorded the album Life in the Streets, produced by Alex Christensen , with Marky Mark (Mark Wahlberg) . In Germany, the album and the released singles achieved the greatest commercial success. Happy People , United , Life in the Streets and Babylon made it into the top 20 ; United was number one on the charts for five weeks . In 1995 Prince Ital Joe signed a contract with Death Row Records , where he collaborated with Tha Dogg Pound , 2Pac and Daz Dillinger , but never released his own album.
He was also occasionally active as an actor. He had a small role in Steven Seagal movie Marked for Death ( Marked for Death ) and entered the TV series EZ Street and player on.
Prince Ital Joe died in a car accident on May 16, 2001 on a highway in Phoenix , Arizona on the way to his Los Angeles home. He was thrown out of the car after a tire burst and the driver lost control. According to police, Ital Joe was not wearing a seat belt. The driver survived unharmed.
