Since June 7, 2009, Prisannewitz has been part of the municipality of Dummerstorf in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany).

geography

Prisannewitz is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Rostock , on an area that rises to the south and extends from the Zarnow valley to the 71 meter high Dolger Berg (near Wendorf). The Zarnow valley , a tributary of the Warnow , is a nature reserve .

The districts of Prisannewitz expansion, Groß Potrems , Klein Potrems, Scharstorf and Wendorf belonged to the formerly independent municipality of Prisannewitz .

history

The place Prisannewitz was first mentioned in a document on February 4, 1282 as Plotzanenitze . Bernhard I named this document as the master. At that time the ruling knight Kobold had his seat in Kaboldesdorp, which is today's Kavelstorf , and donated the Prisannewitzer See, which no longer exists , to the Güstrow Collegiate Foundation in 1317. In 1847, Friedrich Franz II , Grand Duke of Mecklenburg, approved the Scharstorf estate's application for admission to the Prisannewitz - Alt Griebnitz school association. In 1865 the community got its own school. The villagers had to wait until 1910 for their own mailbox, which the village assembly had requested. Another nine years passed before the village in 1919 received a stop on the Rostock-Lalendorf railway line built in 1883.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Scharstorf was incorporated.

On June 6, 2009, the previously independent municipality of Prisannewitz merged with five other municipalities of the Warnow-Ost office, which was dissolved at the same time, to form the new and free municipality of Dummerstorf.
