history
In 1972 Prissé-la-Charrière was formed from the previously independent municipalities of Prissé and La Charrière .
On January 1, 2018, Prissé-la-Charrière merged with Belleville , Boisserolles and Saint-Étienne-la-Cigogne to form the new municipality of Plaine-d'Argenson . The municipality of Prissé-la-Charrière was part of the Arrondissement Niort and the canton of Mignon-et-Boutonne .
