Prix ​​Velo

The Prix ​​Velo is a prize that has been awarded by Pro Velo Switzerland since 2004 (with interruption in 2008) alternately in the categories “Infrastructure”, “Businesses” and “Velostädte”.

The “Prix Velo Infrastructure” is endowed with CHF 10,000. The award is supported by the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) and VeloSuisse. The prize is awarded to municipalities and private institutions that take significant infrastructural measures to promote bicycle traffic.

The “Prix Velo Betriebe” is awarded to companies that promote the use of bicycles by their employees.

The “Prix Velostädte” is awarded in the categories of large, medium and small towns. Cyclists use a survey to rate their community or city in the six areas of road network, traffic climate, safety, comfort, parking facilities and the importance of bicycles.
