Projection J

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Projection J was an evangelical and charismatic oriented Christian mission work with a connected music label and publishing company.

history

Founded as "Projektion J Jugendarbeitskreis eV", the publication of Christian music productions became part of the work of the mission society, which was initially based in Mornshausen and later in Hochheim am Main . Some records appeared in co-production with established Christian music labels such as Abakus , but soon also under their own label. The artists of this time included performers such as Clemens Bittlinger , Henner Gladen , Hans-Jürgen Zimmermann and the Christussänger .

In the projection J book and music publishing , among others, German translations of English-language authors like appeared Lee Strobel , Nicky Gumbel ( Alpha Course ), Bill Hybels ( Willow Creek ), Frank E. Peretti or Worship -Liederbuchreihe You are Lord . In the early 1990s, worship music also became a main component of music productions under the Music House label . For example, the German version of the Vineyard series Nahe am Vaterherz , produced by Ken Janz , appeared here . Martin Pepper and Lothar Kosse were also among the other artists of the 1990s .

In 1996, Projektion J Buch- und Musikverlag was taken over by today's Gerth Medien . For several years the publishing house and the music label (now called J Music House projection under label code 01579) were continued here as a sister branch of Schulte & Gerth , until the two brands merged.
