The Prva Liga RS 2019/20 was the 25th season of the Republika Srpska and the 18th as only the second highest division of Bosnia-Herzegovina in men's football . It started on August 10, 2019 and was declared ended on May 8, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina . The last games took place on March 9, 2020.

To the remaining seven teams from the previous year , the relegated FK Krupa from the Premijer Liga and the promoted FK Jedinstvo Brčko from the Druga League have been added. The league should start with ten teams. However, the second-placed last season, FK Sloga Gornje Crnjelovo , announced after two games that they would withdraw from the league.

In contrast to last year, the nine teams should compete against each other three times. Since no more games were played due to the pandemic, the association decided to end the season prematurely on May 8 and no longer host the remaining games.
