Przemysław Frankowski (born April 12, 1995 in Danzig ) is a Polish soccer player and is under contract with the US first division club Chicago Fire .

Career

Frankowski came to professional football via the youth department of Lechia Gdańsk and made his debut on April 14, 2013 against his future club Jagiellonia Białystok in the Ekstraklasa after being substituted on . On the 24th matchday Frankowski, again after substitution and only 32 minutes played, the first goal in the Ekstraklasa in the game against Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała , which was lost 2-1. In the 2013/14 season Frankowski was then a permanent member of his club and made a total of 33 league games in which he scored one goal and prepared three more. After a total of 44 competitive games for Lechia Gdańsk, the offensive winger moved to league rivals Jagiellonia Białystok for a rumored transfer of 75,000 euros in summer 2014 and made 28 appearances and three goals in his first season with the new employer in the league. Frankowski made his European debut in 2015 qualifying for the UEFA Europa League against Lithuanian representative Kruoja Pakruojis , before his club was eliminated in the second qualifying round against Omonia Nicosia from Cyprus. Frankowski is considered a great talent in Polish football due to his positional flexibility and speed.

In January 2019, he moved to Chicago Fire in the United States . On matchday 11, he scored his first goal in Major League Soccer in the home game against New England Revolution (5-0) .

National team

Frankowski played in all Polish junior national teams from the U-16s and is currently a player in the senior national team . The midfielder made his debut on March 23, 2018 in a friendly against Nigeria (0-1) in Wroclaw .
