Psycho (film series)
Psycho is an American horror - thriller film series. Four films have been released. The first part, which opened in cinemas in 1960, was directed by Alfred Hitchcock . From 1983 to 1990 three more films appeared, as in the first part with Anthony Perkins in the leading role. In contrast to the first three films, the fourth part was produced for television. In 1998, an almost faithful remake of the classic from 1960 was released. From 2013 to 2017, the television station A&E Network produced the series Bates Motel , which tells the story.

From 2013 to 2017 , the A + E Networks series Bates Motel appeared under the direction of producer Anthony Cipriano , starring Vera Farmiga , Freddie Highmore , Max Thieriot and Olivia Cooke .
