Maximillion "Max" Drake Thieriot (born October 14, 1988 in Los Altos Hills , California ) is an American actor .

life and career

Max Thieriot has a sister and a brother. His paternal grandfather was Charles de Young Thieriot, the owner and publicist of the San Francisco Chronicle , and a descendant of the Young brothers, the founders of that newspaper. He grew up in Occidental , California . He graduated from El Molino High School in 2006.

Thieriot was discovered in an improvisation class. He modeled for GAP and also appeared in two short films before joining the 2004 film Mission: Possible - These kids are unbelievable! was cast. Other films followed, including The Babynator in 2005 and The Astronaut Farmer and Nancy Drew, Girl Detective in 2007 . In 2008 he embodied a younger version of the central lead role in the film Jumper , which was played by Hayden Christensen . In June 2008, the comedy Kit Kittredge: An American Girl with Abigail Breslin in the title role was released.

In 2009 he starred in Atom Egoyan's Chloe and Wes Craven's horror film My Soul to Take . In Mark Tonderai's psychological thriller House at the End of the Street , which opened in US cinemas on September 21, 2012, Thieriot can be seen alongside Jennifer Lawrence . From 2013 to 2017 he starred in the TV series Bates Motel, alongside Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore .

On June 1, 2013, Max Thieriot married Lexi Murphy. Their son was born in December 2015.
