Puerto Avaroa Faja Central (also: Puerto Avaroa ) is a town in the Santa Cruz department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Puerto Avaroa is the eighth largest town in the municipality of Yapacaní in the Ichilo province . Puerto Avaroa is located 36 kilometers west of Yapacaní , at an altitude of 257 m three kilometers northeast of the Río Ichilo .

Puerto Avaroa is located in the Bolivian lowlands on the northeastern foothills of the Cordillera Oriental . The climate is a tropical, humid climate with a distinct rainy season .
The region has an average annual temperature of 26 ° C, the monthly averages are between 23 ° C in July and a good 28 ° C from November to February (see climate diagram Puerto Grether). The average annual precipitation is around 1700 mm, with monthly values between 200 and 300 mm from December to February and sufficient humidity in all months.
Transport network
Puerto Avaroa is located 163 kilometers by road northwest of Santa Cruz , the capital of the department.
Nuevo Horizonte is located on the 1657 kilometer long highway Ruta 4 , which crosses the entire country from Tambo Quemado on the Chilean border in a west-east direction and leads to Puerto Suárez on the Brazilian border. It leads via Cochabamba , Villa Tunari and Bulo Bulo to Puerto Grether , crosses the Río Ichilo and continues via Puerto Avaroa to Yapacaní , Santa Cruz and Roboré to Puerto Suárez. The road is completely paved from the Chilean border to Pailón , only further on is it unpaved.
