Quintin Perry Mikell (born September 16, 1980 in New Orleans ) is an American football player in the position of safety . Quintin Mikell played for Boise State University in Boise , Idaho . Since 2003 he played with the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League , where he was number 27. In February 2007 his contract was extended for another 4 years.

In his six years with the Philadelphia Eagles so far, Mikell has set various records. With 124 tackles in "Special Teams" since 2003, he holds the team record. In 2005 and 2006 he also became the Eagles' Special Team MVP .

He is also a member of Sports Illustrated's Paul Zimmerman's All-Pro Team 2006 , as a member of the Special Team.

He played for the St. Louis Rams in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, and in 2013 he played for the Carolina Panthers .
