The Río Pamplonita is a river about 115 kilometers long in northern South America .
The Río Pamplonita flows through the Colombian Departamento de Norte de Santander , forms the main river of the city of Cúcuta and flows south of Puerto Santander into the Río Zulia , which in turn flows into the Río Catatumbo . The Río Táchira flows into the river on the northern outskirts of Cúcuta . North of Cúcuta, the Río Pamplonita briefly forms the border with Venezuela .
