R Sculptoris ( R Scl ) is a red giant star with 355 times the solar diameter at a distance of around 1500 light years from the sun. removed in the constellation Sculptor . Observations show a spiral structure surrounding this star.

The star is pulsation- variable and is of type SRb with a period of 370 days.
