Rachel Shelley

Rachel Shelley (born August 25, 1969 in Swindon , England ) is a British actress .

Life

Shelley lived in different places in England and abroad. She studied English and Acting at the University of Sheffield and graduated with honors.

Shelley was a well-established actress in the UK with hit films such as The Elven Garden with Ben Kingsley , Everybody Loves Sunshine with David Bowie and Lagaan - Once Upon a Time in India that received an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film . In 2004 she spoke for the role of Helena Peabody in the hit lesbian series The L Word - When Women Love Women and got the role.

Shelley produced a number of articles for The Guardian newspaper . The first article from 2001 describes her feelings and experiences while filming the Bollywood classic Lagaan - Once upon a time in India in the desert of India . The second is about her visit to the 2002 Academy Awards . The third tells about her experiences while filming her first season of The L Word .

Shelley is in a relationship with actor, director, writer and producer Matthew Parkhill.
