RaDeschnig

RaDeschnig is an Austrian music- cabaret duo consisting of the two Carinthian twin sisters Birgit and Nicole Radeschnig (born July 31, 1984 in Klagenfurt ).

Career

The twin sisters Birgit and Nicole Radeschnig studied from 2003 "Musical entertainment theater" at the Conservatory Vienna Private University . There they wrote their own cabaret texts for the first time as part of the Fidelio competition.

Since 2004, they have appeared as actors and singers on various stages (including the Renaissance Theater Vienna , Palladium Theater Stuttgart , Schlosstheater Albeck). Since winning the Grazer Kleinkunstvogel in 2010, the two music cabaret artists have been touring the German-speaking countries with their programs.

RaDeschnig are founding members of the cabaret mixed show “The mixed plate” (together with the cabaret duos Gerafi and Flüsterzweieck as well as guest appearances by other cabaret artists), as well as the cabaret band project “Paper basket songs” with Rudi Schöller and Vinzent Binder.

In 2014 RaDeschnig also composed and arranged the music for the cabaret reading “The very last day of mankind - now it's really over” by Hosea Ratschiller .

In their first program "To Carinthia" (premiere 2010), RaDeschnig devoted themselves to coming to terms with their Carinthian origins. In their program “A Zimmerl zum Leben” the artists described their vision of a senior citizens' housing complex of the future. With black humor they asked how society deals with the issue of aging and dying and how it will deal with it in the future. In “Experimensch - das Magazin” , the two deal critically with the generally widespread and propagated health and happiness mania. The fourth cabaret program "Room - Kitchen - Cabinet" is about retreating into your own four walls because "woman" can no longer cope with the rules of the real world. The story of two women who are one.

The best of program flashback gives an overview of the best acts of all previous programs.

RaDeschnig's programs are characterized by black humor, cynicism and musicality. The two twin sisters make use of the fact that they are physically similar.
