Radoswet Petrow ( Bulgarian Радосвет Петров ; born October 31, 1993 ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HK Slavia Sofia in the Bulgarian ice hockey league since 2012 .

Career

Radosvet Petrov began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the HK Slavia Sofia , with which in 2009 he won the Bulgarian U16 title. He then moved to the Czech Republic, where he played HC Benátky nad Jizerou for two years in the youth teams, but was also used in the second men's team, which played in the fifth Czech league. In the 2011/12 season he was under contract with the fourth-class HC Poděbrady , but only came to one use there and then returned to his home club in Sofia, for which he has since been in the Bulgarian ice hockey league .

International

In the junior area, Petrov took part with Bulgaria in the U18 World Championships in 2009 and 2011 as well as the U20 title fights in 2012 , when he had the third best catch quota of the tournament after the Icelandic Snorri Sigurbergsson and the Chinese Xia Shengrong and was voted the best player of his team, and in 2013 each in Division III.

The goalkeeper made his debut in the Bulgarian men's selection at the age of 20 at the 2014 World Cup , when he guarded his team's goals in the victories against the United Arab Emirates (11: 5) and Georgia (19: 1).
