Raffael Gordzielik (born May 26, 1985 in Pyskowice , Upper Silesia , Poland ) is a German strength athlete . He won the German Strongman Championship three times as " Germany's strongest man " (2017, 2018, 2019).

Life

Gordzielik moved to Germany with his parents as a late repatriate when he was three years old . He grew up in Bad Hersfeld and began weight training when he was 18.

At 21 Gordzielik began with the Assindia Cardinals in food , as well as American football to play. In 2008 Gordzielik moved to Marburg to the Marburg Mercenaries , where he and his team reached the PlayOff semi-finals several times.

In 2012 Gordzielik took part in a strongman competition in Gudensberg and became the strongest man from Hessen. The strength athlete Heinz Ollesch recognized his talent and motivated him to continue participating in strongman sport. After a break in 2013, Gordzielik really started strongman in 2014 and became German runner-up in 2015 and 2016, and in 2017, 2018 and 2019 he became the strongest man in Germany .

He took part in international competitions such as Europe's Strongest Man and the Ultimate Strongman World Championship, where he competed against the world's elite such as Hafþór Björnsson and Eddie Hall . The American Professional Wrestling League WWE invited him to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando in spring 2019 . In 2018 he was seen on Pro7 in the program Beginner gegen Winner with Joko Winterscheidt .

In 2019 Gordzielik took part in the biggest strongman event in the world, the World Strongest Man in Bradenton , Florida. There he just missed the final.

Outside of sport, he completed a degree in business administration and completed his law studies with the first and second state exams. He has been a licensed attorney since December 2018 .
