In 2004 the Italian contested his second season in Formula 3000 and competed for AEZ Racing , the second team in the Durango racing team. In contrast to his teammate Ferdinando Monfardini, Giammaria scored points in a few races and came third once. Giammaria had to leave AEZ Racing two races before the end of the season due to financial problems. For the last race of the season he returned to Formula 3000 and started for the Belgian team Astromega .
After Giammaria had not received a cockpit in the GP2 series , the successor to Formula 3000, in 2005 he only competed in a few races of the Italian Formula 3000 and the World Series by Renault . He contested most of the races in the Italian GT Championship. He also returned to formula racing for two races and competed in the Euroseries 3000, in which he finished tenth overall with two podium finishes.
