Today's Raiffeisenbank Oberpfalz Süd eG emerged from the merger of several cooperative banks. On May 3, 1903, Raiffeisenbank Oberpfalz Süd eG was founded as the “Donaustauf Loan Association” in the Röhrlschen Gasthaus. In the years to come, new branches were connected, for example on January 2, 1964 in Tegernheim in Albert Schmid's house on Hauptstrasse. On April 13, 2000, a merger with Raiffeisenbank Sünching eG was agreed . This was followed by further mergers with regional Raiffeisen banks and most recently the merger with Raiffeisenbank Inkofen-Eggmühl eG in 2009.
