The Academy of Bavarian Cooperatives (ABG) is a further training institution with the main purpose of practice-oriented research and teaching as well as further training for professionally qualified people. In addition to non-academic training opportunities such as B. the Bankfachwirt (BC) , the AGB also offers academic programs with the qualifications Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Laws within the framework of joint studies in cooperation with several universities . Bank Colleg

The ABG offers employees of the Bavarian Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken various further training opportunities in the area of ​​(cooperative) lending within the framework of the Bank Colleg . Bank clerks can receive further training here in three successive stages. Further training takes place in preparatory self-study , which is supplemented by weekly face-to-face lectures in the respective study centers. The students have to write exams and scientific papers on fixed dates .

Bank manager qualification

With the graduation of a bank business economist at Bank Colleg , the imparting of theoretical knowledge for professional suitability according to Sec. 33 (2) KWG (bank manager qualification) . The possession of the bank manager qualification is a prerequisite for the appointment as a board member of a credit institute of any size in the Federal Republic of Germany .

VR joint study

The VR combined course is a dual course of study in connection with vocational training as a banker with a standard study period of 7 semesters. The combined course is offered in cooperation with various universities throughout Germany and enables students to combine practical professional training with academic studies.

The prerequisite for the course is a vocational training contract in the training profession of bank clerk with a cooperative bank as well as a university entrance qualification ( general , subject- related or technical college entrance qualification ). In contrast to the educational offer of the Bank Colleg, the course of study takes place parallel to vocational training and not after vocational training.

Seminar for trainees

The ABG offers training courses and seminars for trainees from the affiliated banks . Many Bavarian cooperative banks have their in-house training carried out by the ABG.

Further seminars

Further training programs are also offered for employees of commercial and agricultural cooperatives as part of a certificate course.
