Reinoud III. van Brederode
Reinoud III. van Brederode (* 1492 , † 25. September 1556 in Brussels ) was the army ( "Baron") of Brederode , Sovereign Lord of Vianen , Erb castle earl of Utrecht , Ambachtsherr of Amstelveen , houtvester en jagermeester van Holland (forest and Jägermeister Holland ) and councilor in the Raad van State .
Likewise, Reinoud III. important functions as councilor and chamberlain to Emperor Karl V. He lived in Batenstein Castle .
Life
Reinoud III. was a son of Walraven II. van Brederode and Margretha van Borselen . Reinoud was married to Philippote van der Marck, a daughter of Count Robert II van der Marck .
In 1531 he was elected a member of the Order of the Golden Fleece . Reinoud ruled the high lordships of Vianen and Ameide as non-fiefdom areas of Holland . So he regulated the judiciary and the coinage . As a result, he came into conflict with the Dutch count (Emperor Charles V), also because of his claim to the county of Holland . Initially he was sentenced to death, but subsequently pardoned by the emperor.
Reinoud III. van Brederode died in 1556, his burial place is in the Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming-kerk , today's Reformed Church in Vianen. His wife Philippote van der Marck was also buried there after her death in 1537.

With his wife Philippote Reinoud had a son and heir, Count Heinrich von Brederode (* 1531; † 1568), the "Great Geusen ". He also had an illegitimate son, the Geusenführer Lancelot von Brederode († 1573).
