Rainer Dimmler (born January 17, 1951 in Worms ; † May 17, 2018 in Bad Vilbel ) was a German composer , musician and poet .

Life

Rainer Dimmler has been playing the guitar since he was twelve. He studied with Heinz Teuchert at the Dr. Hoch`schen Conservatory as well as at the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt / Main and made a name for himself as a virtuoso of classical literature and his own compositions.

From 1980 he devoted himself exclusively to his own music and wrote works for guitar , flute, cello , violin , dulcimer , choir and orchestra. Based on a basic structure of classical harmony, free chromatic elements flowed into his music .

His music is broadcast by radio and television companies around the world. In concerts he presented his music from solo to trio. He was a member of the German Composers Association .

From 2002 he wrote poems that were published in August 2007 by Goethe Verlag Frankfurt and in 2011 by Projekt Verlag Halle . In his poems he dealt with deeply religious questions in life.
