Rainer Eisch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rainer Eisch (born August 24, 1967 in Thun , Switzerland ) is a German and Swiss visual artist .

Life

Eisch studied from 1992 to 1999 with Christian Megert at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in the class for integration of fine art and architecture. From 2002 to 2004 he completed postgraduate studies at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne .

Since the 1990s, Rainer Eisch has been using the possibilities of 3D computer programs such as those used in science, research and the film industry. Unlike there, the artist does not use the technology to digitally simulate reality. On the contrary, Eisch strives for a targeted obscuration of the visible. This raises questions about the possibilities and also the limits of digital media. He lives and works in Düsseldorf .
