Rainer Rappmann

Rainer E. Rappmann (born December 13, 1950 in Karlsruhe ) is a German author , publisher , publicist , organizer and founder of the FIU publishing house . He edited parts of Joseph Beuys' linguistic work .

Life

Rainer Rappmann studied art, German and philosophy at the Educational Science University in Landau in der Pfalz from 1971 to 1974 . In 1974 he finished his thesis on Joseph Beuys and the change of society , which contains an interview held on March 7, 1974. After completing his studies, he taught in Berlin in 1975. In 1976 he co-founded the "Free School Achberg - Waldorf School", later "Free Waldorf School Wangen", where he taught from 1977 to 1982 as a class teacher.

Together with Johannes Stüttgen , the “ Free International University (FIU) initiative” was created in 1978 with the first product for “FIU mailing”, the FIU postcard: “How this car works…” . From 1981 to 1991 he was managing director of the "Free Adult Education Center Argental" (FVA), which he co-founded in 1980. In 1991 he founded the FIU publishing house .

Rainer Rappmann is the initiator and organizer of the Achberger Beuys Symposia and the Social Sculpture Association

In April 2019 he and his wife Annette Rappmann organized the FEST / Symposium 100 Years of Threefolding in Achberg.
