Jasey-Jay Anderson (born April 13, 1975 in Montreal ) is a Canadian snowboarder .

Anderson began his international career with the start of the Snowboard World Cup on December 18, 1996 at the Sun Peaks Resort , where he finished third in the giant slalom for the first time on the podium. Then he started in the Continental Cup, where he won several races. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , Anderson finished 16th in the giant slalom. On March 27, 1998 he won the championship title in giant slalom for the first time at the Canadian Championships. On November 20, 1998 he was able to win a World Cup race in the parallel giant slalom for the first time in Tandadalen . However, this was his only World Cup victory for a few years. At the Snowboard World Championship in Berchtesgaden in 1999 , he took 11th place in the parallel giant slalom, 12th place in the giant slalom and 25th place in the parallel slalom. After the World Cup, he achieved several podium positions in the World Cup. A year later he won the championship title in giant slalom again at the Canadian Championships, which were held in Okemo , United States . In snowboard cross and slalom he only just failed and won silver. After winning several times in the Continental Cup following the national championships, he also won several World Cup victories in snowboard cross and parallel giant slalom races. At the 2001 snowboard world championship in Madonna di Campiglio , he was first world champion in giant slalom. In the same year he again won the Canadian championship in snowboard cross. A year later he started at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and reached 29th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the national championships in 2002 he won both titles in giant slalom and parallel giant slalom for the first time. A year later he also won the giant slalom.

At the Snowboard World Championships 2005 in Whistler, Anderson won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom and in the parallel slalom. In snowboard cross, he reached tenth place. In Turin he was able to achieve fifth place in snowboard cross at the 2006 Winter Olympics and 20th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon , he repeated his success from 2005 and again won the world title in the parallel giant slalom. A year later at the 2010 Winter Olympics , at the end of his career, he won gold for the first time in the parallel giant slalom. Shortly after the games, he ended his active career by winning the Canadian Championships again. Since the winter of 2011/12 he has been taking part in competitions again. In the parallel giant slalom of the 2014 Winter Olympics , he finished 14th and in the parallel slalom in 15th place and in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang in 24th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the Snowboard World Championships in 2015 , he took 24th place in parallel slalom and fifth place in parallel giant slalom and at the Snowboard World Championships in 2017, 42nd place in parallel slalom and seventh place in parallel giant slalom. In January 2018 he won his 28th World Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in Bansko . Anderson now lives in Mont Tremblant , is married and has two children.
