Nevin Galmarini (born December 4, 1986 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss snowboarder .

Career

At the Swiss Snowboard Championships 2009 in Splügen , he won the parallel giant slalom . In 2011 and 2012 he was also Swiss champion. He was selected for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . In the Snowboard World Cup he has so far achieved three podium placements. He currently lives in Ardez ( Canton of Graubünden ).

At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom .

In March 2017 he won the bronze medal in the parallel giant slalom at the Snowboard World Championships in the Sierra Nevada . In April of the same year he became Swiss champion for the third time in the same discipline alongside Ladina Jenny among women.

The 31-year-old won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang on February 24, 2018, after having previously achieved two victories and two second places in the 2017/18 World Cup season .
