Rainer Reinisch

Rainer Reinisch (* 1933 ) is an Austrian architect , artist and author .

Live and act

Reinisch grew up in Ferlach im Rosental and completed his training as an architect at the Technical University of Vienna and took courses with Gerda Matejka-Felden at the Vienna Art Academy .

He published several publications on the topic of architecture, was a columnist for the Wiener Zeitung for fifteen years and also published caricatures , poems , essays and reviews in various magazines and books. After working abroad, he opened an architecture office in Vienna and founded the M. Group. As building director of the city of Braunau am Inn , he made a name for himself in the area of ​​old town preservation.

From 1957 he was engaged in creating artistic collages , photographs and films and exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions, mainly in Austria. Most recently, he devoted himself to the ironization of images by crumpling, tearing and dismantling.
