Rainer Trost (* 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German opera , operetta , lied and oratorio singer ( tenor ).

Life

Rainer Trost spent his childhood and youth in Stuttgart. In his hometown he was a member of the Stuttgart Hymn Choirboys for many years . He studied singing in Freiburg / Br., Stuttgart and from 1987 to 1991 at the University of Music in Munich, a. a. with Adalbert Kraus . The singer was then a member of the Lower Saxony State Theater in Hanover until 1995.

In 1992 Trost started his international career - especially with the great tenor roles in operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart such as Tamino, Ferrando, Belmonte, Don Ottavio, Idamante and the title role in La clemenza di Tito .
