Rajapur ( Nepali राजापुर Rajapur ) is a city ( municipality ) in the western Terai of Nepal in the Bardiya district .
The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Badalpur , Bhimapur , Daulatpur , Manpur Tapara , Naya Gaun and Rajapur . The urban area covers 108.23 km². Rajapur is located in the Terai between the two river arms Kauriala and Geruwa on the border with the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .
