Ralf Borschke (born April 7, 1958 in Kummerow ) is a German politician ( Alternative for Germany (AfD), former citizen for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (BMV)). He was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for the AfD in 2016 .

Life

Ralf Borschke was a mechanical engineer, lecturer and everyday companion at the DRK. He trained as a pipe fitter from 1975 to 1978 and then did his basic military service with the NVA . From 1979 to 1980 he worked as a pipe fitter at Volkswerft Stralsund and from 1980 ten years until reunification at VEB Fischwirtschaft Stralsund in the technology department. From 1990 to 1996 he was branch manager of the company Kunststoffpartner Kopperschmidt and from 1996 to 2014 he was self-employed with an event agency. From 2009 he studied painting and graphics in Duisburg for five semesters .

He works as a painter and lives in Vogelsang. Borschke is married and has two children.

Borschke said he was a member of the New Forum from 1989 to 1990 and a CDU member from 1998 to 2008. He joined the AfD in 2013.

Since 2013 he has been an assessor in the AfD district committee Vorpommern-Rügen, from 2014 to 2016 spokesman for the AfD district committee Vorpommern-Rügen and since 2014 a member of the Vorpommern-Rügen district council.

In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2016 , Ralf Borschke ran in the constituency of Vorpommern-Rügen III - Stralsund I and on the AfD state list. While he was barely defeated by the CDU candidate Dietmar Eifler in the constituency with 26.2 percent , he made the leap into the state parliament via the state list. Borschke became spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group for energy, fisheries and agriculture.

On September 25, 2017, he left the AfD parliamentary group with Matthias Manthei , Christel Weißig and Bernhard Wildt and founded the “ Citizens for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (BMV)” party and belonged to the “Free Voters / BMV” parliamentary group. A short time later, he also left the AfD. In October 2019 he rejoined the AfD parliamentary group.
