Ralph Loop
Ralph Loop (born February 4, 1967 ) is a German director and screenwriter .
Life
Interested since his school days in filmmaking, Loop underwent training as an electrician , manager and assistant director and a course study at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles . Loop has worked as a director since 1991, specializing in commercials , image films and documentaries :
A commercial with Wim Wenders and reminiscences of the movie Der Himmel über Berlin was created in 2012 as a TV advertisement for the Samsung Galaxy Note II .
The image film 100 Years HSVA about the past and present of the Hamburg Shipbuilding Research Institute was made in 2013 under the direction of Loop.
In Germany. Dein Tag , a twelve-hour real-time documentary that was produced on behalf of ARD in 2015 to kick off the ARD theme week Heimat , was directed by Ralph Loop together with Daniela Erdtmann and Kirsten Minder and shot a trailer.
In 2016 he made his first full-length feature film with Botticelli Inferno .
Ralph Loop lives in Hamburg .

- 1995: 1st prize in the German Economic Film Prize for "Die Datenautobahn" for Deutsche Telekom , awarded by the Federal Minister of the Interior .
- 1996: 1st prize in the German Economic Film Prize for "SYSTEM 5", a film about the German social system on behalf of the DAK , awarded by the Federal Minister of the Interior .
- 1999: OTTOCAR in gold for "The development of the Golf 4" on behalf of VOLKSWAGEN , awarded by the Association of the Automotive Industry .
- 2000: Silver Award of the 9th ITVA Festival for "Get Inspired". A film for Deutsche Messe AG .
- 2016: Honorary award for the twelve-hour documentary "Germany. Your Day", awarded by Radio Bremen and the Bremische Landesmedienanstalt (Brema) as a prize for cross-media program innovations
