Ralph Pratt

Ralph Pratt (born March 17, 1910 in Portage , Ohio , USA ; † December 15, 1981 in Fayetteville , Pennsylvania , USA) was an American racing car driver.

Career

Pratt was one of the most famous and successful sprint car racing drivers of all time. In four years he won 142 races, once on three different Ohio circuits in a single day. In three years, however, he did not manage to qualify once for the Indianapolis 500 mile race . His best result in an Indycar race was achieved in 1949 when he finished fourth in Detroit .
