Ralph Valenteano

Ralph Valenteano (* 1965 in Eltville am Rhein ) is the stage name of a German singer , composer and author.

Ralph Valenteano first appeared on stage at the age of 15. At the age of 18, he and his band “Wetteruchten” won first prize at the Federal Rock Festival. When he was 20 years old, RCA Records signed him with his band "Best Before". The band made music with lyrics in English. The songs were produced in London with Pete Wilson, among others. Best Before broke up in 1990.

Ralph Valenteano worked as a singer for commercials and Disney radio plays and played bass and guitar as a studio musician - for Curtis Blow, among others. When he got to know the group Kool and the Gang while doing a studio job , they supported some pieces on his CD with saxophone, trombone and trumpet.

In 1996 Ralph Valenteano wrote three number 1 hits in Canada for First Base .

After three years of studio work, Ralph Valenteano released the first version of his album Words from Syllables and Gold in 2009 , for which he was able to win guitarist Dominic Miller and percussionist Rhani Krija (both Sting ) and Nick Beggs (former singer of Kajagoogoo ). Also Deon Estus (former Wham! And George Michael ) stood for the album in the studio. Saxophonist Harold Todd (played for Lenny Kravitz ) and drummer Claus Heßler can also be heard on the album.

Valenteano produced the album Invitation for the Egyptian singer Fadia Bazzi (Keymedia 2013).

In 2018 his new album Devachan was released , on which Momo Djender , Mike Lindup and Dominic Miller can be heard among others .

As an author, Valenteano has published books and audio books on mystical and spiritual topics. In June 2014 his book Light from this World was published .

Ralph Valenteano sees himself as a musical alchemist and mixes different cultural influences and musical styles. With his texts he follows in the footsteps of the Sufi poets. His compositions combine lyricism with elegant grooves, sophisticated arrangements and oriental elements.
