Ramón Antonio Linares Sandoval

Ramón Antonio Linares Sandoval (born December 26, 1936 in San Carlos ) is a Venezuelan clergyman and emeritus bishop of Barinas .

Life

Ramón Antonio Linares Sandoval was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Valencia en Venezuela on July 28, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Puerto Cabello on July 5, 1994 . The Archbishop of Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela , José Alí Cardinal Lebrún Moratinos , donated him episcopal ordination on October 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Jorge Liberato Urosa Savino , Archbishop of Valencia en Venezuela , and Antonio Arellano Durán , Bishop of San Carlos de Venezuela .

On July 16, 2002, he was appointed Bishop of Barinas .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on August 30, 2013.
