Ram Chundur Goburdhun

Ram Chundur Goburdhun (born September 13, 1911 in Mauritius † in the 20th century ) was an Indian diplomat .

Life

In 1949 Ram Chundur married Goburdhun Kamala Sinha; her daughter is Anuradha Goburdhun Bakhshi.

He attended the Royal College Port-Louis and the Institut français du Royaume-Uni and studied law at the University of Lille II . He practiced the profession of barrister and was a member of the Middle Temple , London . From 1939 to 1944 he was senior judicial officer at the Supreme Court of Mauritius and from 1945 to 1946 judge at the labor court in Mauritius . In the Mauritian general election in 1948 , he received 405 votes in the Pamplemousses constituency . From 1948 to 1950 he was Secretary of the First Class in Prague and from 1950 to 1952 Chargé d'affaires there. From January to February 1953 he was Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in New Delhi , from 1953 to 1955 he was Counselor in Beijing and from 1955 to 1958 Counselor in Paris . From March to December 1958 he was in charge of public relations at the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From December 1958 to 1962 he was ambassador in Rabat ( Morocco ) and was accredited in Tunis . From 1962 to 1964 he was chairman of the International Control Commission in Vietnam . From December 1964 to 1966 he was ambassador to Algiers ( Algeria ) and from 1967 to 1969 ambassador to Ankara ( Turkey ). From 1970 to 1985 he was a legal advisor to the New Delhi Supreme Court .
