Rampage is a hard rock band from Viersen that was founded in 1986 . The debut album Wings of the Eagle with the title song of the same name, produced in the Dust Music Studio in 1992, was played for months by both local and national radio stations. The band quickly became known in the music scene in the Lower Rhine and Ruhr areas.

The TV broadcaster RTL also became aware of the band through constant live performances . In the TV series Die Wache (episode 35, Disharmonies , March 9, 1995), the central plot revolved around the band Rampage, on whom an attack is being carried out. The band played itself and performed several songs. For the theme music to the film Transformers 3 from 2011, the band was only subject to composer Steve Jablonsky in the final with their song Letz Go Transform . The band then appeared regularly as headliners at Transformers conventions .

Andreas Schöwe from Metal Hammer describes the band's music, which has remained true to itself for 25 years, as “solid, hand-made hard rock, which is somewhere between Mad Max , Fair Warning and Bonfire and is geared towards good danceability. But also an epic, slightly theatrical and more in the Ayreon score [...] is on offer. "
