Rampur ( Nepali रामपुर Rampur ) is a city ( municipality ) in Nepal in the Palpa district .
The city was created in 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Darchha , Gadakot , Gegha , Khaliban and Rampur . Rampur is located on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Kali Gandaki at the confluence of the Nisdi Khola . The town of Chapakot lies on the opposite bank of the river . The urban area covers 123.3 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Rampur emerged, had 35,396 inhabitants (15,438 of whom were male) in 8132 households.
