Rand West City ( English Rand West City Local Municipality ) is a local church founded on August 3, 2016 in the South African province of Gauteng . It belongs to the West Rand district and emerged from the former local communities Randfontein and Westonaria . The mayor is Mzikayifane Elias Khumalo.
The administrative seat of the municipality is in Randfontein . In 2011 there were 261,053 people living in the area. The community name refers to the two previous communities.
