The Rappach is an approximately two kilometer long and left tributary of the Kahl in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart .
Surname
The name Rappach means raven brook. He gave the place Rappach its name.

course
The Rappach rises west of the Mömbris district of Rappach at an altitude of 279 m above sea level. NHN in a forest strip.
The stream initially runs in an easterly direction through the forest strip and is then completely piped in the place.
The Rappach finally flows into the market town of Mömbris at an altitude of 163 m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Kahl approaching from the southeast .
The approximately 2 km long course of the Rappach ends approximately 116 meters below its source, so it has a mean bed gradient of approximately 58 ‰.
Catchment area
The approximately 1.3 km² catchment area of the Rappach lies in the Spessart and is drained through it via the Kahl, the Main and the Rhine to the North Sea.
It borders
- in the south to the catchment area of the forest trench that flows into the Kahl
- to the west of the Gunzenbach , which drains over the Hohlenbach and Reichenbach into the Kahl
- and in the north to that of the Fleutersbach , which is also a tributary of the Kahl.
