The Rattenbach , called Freidlinger Bach on the right main course upper course , is a flowing body of water in the area of the market town of Teisendorf in the Upper Bavarian Berchtesgadener Land , which flows from the right into the Oberteisendorfer Ache after a swaying north-north-west course on the western edge of Teisendorf .

course

The upper course of Freidlinger Bach arises on the northern drop of the eastern Teisenberg at about 742  m above sea level. NHN in the forest above the Dandlhäusl. After crossing under the A 8 west of Schnelling, the Quellbach takes on a much shorter left and only then becomes the Freidlinger Bach . This then flows through the hamlet of Freidling in a curve to the east and a short section of the gorge through the hillside forest to the Klause settlement. Immediately afterwards this already flows in the wide valley plain of the Sur with the smaller Stettener Saugraben , which tapers from the left and south, and thus creates the Rattenbach.

The Rattenbach then crosses under the federal highway 304 in the southwest of Teisenberg and finally flows along the western edge of a commercial zone in Teisendorf. Finally it flows out to about 492  m above sea level. NHN into the Oberteisendorfer Ache , a few steps before it flows into the Sur from the left .
