Raymond Kennedy

Raymond Arthur Kennedy ( March 3, 1934 in Wilbraham , Massachusetts - February 18, 2008 in New York City ), known as Raymond Kennedy , was an American writer .

Kennedy worked, among other things, at the Encyclopedia Americana and taught creative writing at New York's Columbia University from 1982 to 2006 . Of his eight novels, Lulu Incognito and Hoch zu Roß were published in German-speaking countries . The last publication in German during his lifetime was the novella Am Rand der Welt in 2006 .

Kennedy lived in Manhattan , New York, for nearly fifty years . He was married twice and had a daughter from his second marriage. Kennedy died of a stroke in Brooklyn .
