Raymond Joseph Gallagher (born November 19, 1912 in Cleveland , Ohio , USA ; † March 7, 1991 ) was Bishop of Lafayette in Indiana .

Life

Raymond Joseph Gallagher received on 25 March 1939, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 21, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Lafayette, Indiana. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi , ordained him episcopal on August 11 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Coadjutor Bishop of Wichita , Leo Christopher Byrne , and the Coadjutor Bishop of Cleveland , Clarence George Issenmann .

On October 26, 1982, Raymond Joseph Gallagher resigned as Bishop of Lafayette, Indiana.
