The KV Arena (also Realistic Arena since 2018 ) is a multi-purpose hall in the Czech city of Karlovy Vary . It has been the home ground of HC Energie Karlovy Vary since 2009 .
The KV Arena offers space for between 6,000 and 8,000 spectators. Construction began in January 2007 and the opening took place on June 19, 2009. It replaced the ice rink built in 1947 as the home ground of HC Energie Karlovy Vary. In September of that year, the Czech Hockey Games ice hockey tournament, which was won by the Czech national ice hockey team , was held in the arena .
Since June 2018, the two ice rinks in the building complex have been called Realistic Arena due to a name sponsorship over three years .
