The Rechterbach (or Rechter Bach ) is a left tributary of the Amel in East Belgium .

The Rechterbach rises 530 meters above sea level near the hamlet of Oberst-Crombach north of Hinderhausen and flows in a northerly direction. After about six kilometers he reaches the village of Recht , a district of the municipality of Sankt Vith . There are some ponds in the Bachtal. Flowing further north, the Rechterbach reaches the area of ​​the municipality of Malmedy , where it also crosses the German-French language border. Shortly before it flows into the Amel after about eleven kilometers of the river at the district of Pont, it is spanned by the A27 motorway .
