The Reckenberg is 518.7  m above sea level. NHN high, wooded mountain in the west of the Spalter hill country in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The mountain forms a double peak together with the Mittelberg . The mountain is the namesake of the Reckenberg group .

The wooded Reckenberg rises in the northwest of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district. To the northeast lies Kalbensteinberg , southeast Igelsbach . The Erlbach flows past in the west . The Igelsbach rises on the southern slope of the mountain . The district road WUG 21 leads south past the summit.
