Church building

Building history

Today's church emerged from the "Wolfsberger Keller" tavern, which was built in 1901 and which may be based on an even older building. Later the building also served as a cinema . After the "Evangelical Association" bought it in 1928, it was converted for congregational purposes, initially a prayer room was set up in it in 1931 and inaugurated on November 7, 1937 as the Reformation Memorial Church. In the course of the renovation, the building received its first tower. In 1956 the church space was expanded. In 1962 the old tower was demolished and replaced by a new one. In 1979/80 the apse was torn down and the orientation of the nave was rotated by 90 degrees. The function of the apse was replaced in 1992 by a designed altar wall, and at the same time the community center was rebuilt.
