The Reformed Church in Soglio (also known as San Lorenzo ) in Graubünden Bergell is an Evangelical - Reformed church under cantonal conservation . It was last restored in 1984/85.

History and equipment

There is first documentary evidence of a church at today's location in 1354 under the patronage of Laurentius of Rome . The walls of the nave and the lower part of the tower, which received an octagonal tower in 1765, show the Romanesque style . The church was enlarged in 1471 and received two new side altars. In 1499 an altar by Ivo Strigel was sold to Piuro .

The choir in its current form was built in the pre-Reformation period in 1506 and, like the entire interior of the church, shows a baroque style. Stucco ornaments on the ceiling and the pulpit adorned with a sound cover are already influenced by the Rococo . The church received its current appearance in 1735.

On the wall there are epitaphs and the like. a. the families von Salis , Gugelberg von Moos, Planta and Pestalozzi.
