The Reformed Church in Urmein on Heinzenberg is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .

history

In the late Middle Ages , the mother church of Heinzenberg was Portein , which replaced Hohenratien . In the decade between 1530 and 1540, the Reformation took hold in Urmein. In 1670 Urmein and Flerden made independent of Portein. The current church construction dates to 1720-22.

Furnishing

The steeple shows a rare two-story onion dome , while the nave is covered with a hipped roof. The expansive, late baroque church interior is determined by the composition with a soundproof pulpit on the left, a central baptismal font and an organ with a triple prospect on the right .

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Urmein as the preaching place of the Innerer Heinzenberg pastoral community , which was previously pastorized by the parish in Flerden . Today the parish offices in Cazis and Prec are responsible for this. Urmein is part of the Colloquium III Nid the forest .
